Learn the special considerations in medical massage for various life stages and conditions. Techniques, adaptations and unique concerns will be covered for the elderly, terminally ill, and young children. Emphasis will be placed on palliative care and massage for vulnerable populations. A variety of conditions will be covered including Alzheimer’s & Dementia, Cancer, Autism, ADHD and more. Please wear comfortable clothes as well as bring a set of sheets and massage cream

East Meets West
- Incorporating eastern modalities into your practice
Learn a variety of "eastern" techniques and learn to incorporate them into your regular session. A sampling of acupressure, shiatsu and thai-yoga technqiues will be taught with an emphasis on Thia-Yoga. Participants will need to bring a set of sheets and wear loose comfortable clothing that they can move in.
Massage for Sports Injuries 2 - Lower Body
Learn how to treat common sports injuries of the lower body in this hands-on class. Injuries such as runner’s knee, ACL injury, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, and more will be addressed. Prevention and self-care will also be covered. Please dress comfortably in clothes that you can move in and bring a set of sheets.
Massage for Chronic Pain
Learn how to address chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia and migraines. In this class, you will learn specific strategies for helping your client and gain a more in-depth understanding of what chronic pain is and how it differs from acute pain. You will also learn integrated approaches to help your client break the pain cycle as well as how to prevent acute injuries from becoming chronic. Please bring a set of sheets and wear loose, comfortable clothing for this class.

*^Class Cancellation and Refund Policy
Classes must be paid for at time of registration to hold place in class.
If a student withdrawals from class 2 weeks prior to class date, they will receive a 100% refund. If withdrawal occurs 1 week prior, they will receive a 50% refund or credit for another class. Students will not receive a refund if withdrawal occurs less than a week prior or if they do not show up. If class is cancelled due to lack of sufficient enrollment a full refund will be given. Enrollment closes a week prior to class date. Exceptions may be made if space permits.
Intro to Medical Massage -
Get started with the in-demand specialty of medical massage. This anatomy driven class covers the basic principles and science behind medical massage as well as assessments and treatments. Learn techniques that can be used to address a number of conditions that ease your client’s pain and that get results. Students are asked to wear comfortable clothes they can move in, preferably shorts and a tank top. Please bring a set of sheets and massage cream. It is recommended that students take Intro to Medical Massage first as basic principles and techniques will be taught that will then be applied to specific conditions in sequential classes.

Work Smarter not Harder
Learn effective tools and techniques to work smarter not harder. Discover the basics of cupping, active isolated stretching, sustained positional release and more. Save your hands while achieving faster and longer lasting results with less effort. Participants should bring a set of sheets and wear loose, comfortable clothes.
Medical Massage for the Upper Body - Part 1
Learn to access and address several head and neck pathologies and conditions in this hands-on class including migraines, whiplash, and more. Situational cases will also be discussed including car accidents and sports injuries. A number of techniques will be taught including positional release, medical cupping, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, active engagement, and neuromuscular techniques for effective and long-lasting results. Students are asked to wear comfortable clothes they can move in – preferably shorts and a tank top. Please bring a set of sheets and massage cream.
Medical Massage for Low Back Pain
Learn how to assess and address the most common of back pathologies - low back pain. This anatomy-driven class will cover how to detect and correct underlying causes and prevent chronic conditions from forming. Learn integrated approaches and strategies that best help your clients in this hands-on class. Please dress in comfortable clothes that you can move in and bring a set of sheets and choice of lotion.

Medical Massage for the Upper Body - Part 2
Learn to assess and address a number of pathologies of the shoulder and upper extremities in this hands-on class. Conditions include rotator cuff injuries, thoracic outlet syndrome, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel and more. A variety of techniques will be taught including myofascial release, trigger point therapy, medical cupping, active engagement and neuromuscular techniques for effective and long-lasting results. Students are asked to wear comfortable clothes they can move in as well as bring a set of sheets and massage cream.
Massage for Sports Injuries 1 - Upper Body
Learn effective techniques for addressing the most common types of sports injuries with an emphasis on the upper body. Injuries such as tennis elbow, golfers elbow, strains, rotator cuff injuries, herniations, and more will be covered. Please dress comfortably in clothes that you can move in and bring a set of sheets.
Intro to Massage for Sports Injuries and Rehabilitation
Learn best practices for dealing with sports injuries and the science and research behind them. Address sports injuries in their various stages with an emphasis on rehabilitation and conditioning. Learn general techniques that will then be applied to specific conditions in 1 & 2 including Active Isolated Stretching and kinesio taping.
Advanced Spa Treatments
Go beyond the basics to learn techniques that keep spa clients coming back. Several types of bodywraps will be taught including a slimming and detoxifying wrap. Add-on treatments such as lypossage and cupping will also be explored. Participants should bring two sets of sheets and several hand towels that they don’t mind getting dirty and dress accordingly.
