There are great snorkeling spots near the Tulum Ruins which are just about 15 minutes north of Maya Tulum.
Enjoy watching the Caguama turtles trekking laboriously up the deserted beaches to lay their eggs in the sand.

Tulum Ruins - Tulum, the only Mayan coastal city, was considered to be a

trading center. The ruins perch atop fortress-like limestone cliffs overlooking

the white, sandy beaches & turquoise waters of the Caribbean. 

 

Yal-Ku Lagoon - The calm, clear lagoon is perfect for beginner snorkelers. The lagoon’s mixture of fresh and salt water is wonderfully refreshing after a long day at the beach. Yal-Ku is a very special ecosystem, so please help to protect it by not wearing sunscreen or feeding any of the fish. Price includes snorkeling gear.

 

Sian Ka'an Muyil Experience - Full day adventure includes guided tour of the coastal ruins of the ancient Mayan trading post of Muyil, a 2-hour boat trip across wetlands, a visit to a secret Maya temple, & a dip in an ancient canal built by the Maya. Cost includes air conditioned transportation, entrance fees, boat trip & appetizer.

 

Coba Ruins - Once a prosperous Mayan city of about 50,000, Coba is located among 5 lakes in the middle of the jungle. One outstanding feature is the incredible number of sacbe (elevated roads) that connect Coba with other Mayan cities.

 

Aktun Chen Caverns and Xunaan-Ha Cenote - Marvel at thousands of stalactites, stalagmites & natural sculptures as you wander through the 5 million year old Aktun Chen Caverns. Later, enjoy a refreshing dip in the Xunaan-Ha Cenote.

Double accommodation prices noted below are per person. **Note payments are non refundable due to Maya Tulum's policy. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis.

FAQ’s:

Can I room with a friend? Will you match me with a roommate if I register for double accommodations?

Yes, please let us know who you would like to share a room with when you register.  If you would like double accommodations and are coming alone, we will be happy to match you with someone on a space availability basis.  Maya Tulum's policy is that if you are registered for double accommodations and we are not able to match you with a roommate, you will be charged the single accommodations rate. Please register early to ensure a match!

 

Do I have to stay at the resort to attend the classes?

No, participants can choose to stay offsite. Classes without accomodations are $500 for the week.

 

Can I bring someone who is not attending the retreat?

The non-attendee “companion” rate is for someone who is sharing a room with you but not taking classes. Companions enjoy all the same resort features including meals & accomodations. Pricing for a companion is below.

Are spa services available?

Maya Tulum offers a wide selection of services. All sessions must be scheduled and paid for once you are on-site.

 

How do I get to Maya Tulum?

Transportation is available on Saturdays for an additional fee of $40USD  for 1 way or $80USD round trip to the hotel. Please note that you must have a valid passport to fly to Mexico. *Airfare is not included in the retreat cost.

 

Can I add on days if I want to extend my stay?

Yes!  To add additional days AFTER you have registered with us, please call MassageWorks at (302) 668-4861.

 

Will there be time in the schedule for other excursions or spa services?

Yes! We have deliberately created a schedule that allows ample time to rest or to enjoy other excursions or services. All tours and wellness services are scheduled and paid for once you arrive.

 

What should I bring?

You will receive a welcome email from the facilitators before the retreat with a list of recommended items to bring.
